Partnering for Wildlife Safety: Vent Screens for Vault Concrete Toilets
Traditional vault toilet vent pipes, while essential for odor control, have historically posed a hidden danger to birds and small wildlife. Species such as owls, kestrels, and songbirds often mistake uncapped vent pipes for safe nesting or resting spots, only to become trapped and unable to escape.
In collaboration with the Teton Raptor Center’s Poo-Poo Project, Missoula Concrete Construction has integrated wildlife-safe stainless steel vent screens into our standard and custom vault toilet designs.
